The Main Characters
Syaoran
The living example of the "true heart" in Tsubasa Chronicle. He continues to fight no matter what obstacles get in his way in order to save Sakura and return her memories. At the beginning of his journey, he had to sacrifice his relationship with her in order to obtain the power to travel through dimensions. In other words, he bears the pain of knowing that even if he succeeds in recovering all of Sakura's memory feathers, he is the one person that she will not remember. There are times when it seems he is about to cry - times when no one could blame him if he cried - but he continues to hold his own.
Syaoran has a past that is shown in flashing glimpses throughout the series. He was an orphan adopted by a kind Archeologist, and upon a memorable visit to the Clow Kingdom in search of mysterious ruins, he became friends with the princess Sakura. Together, the two grew to become dear childhood friends.
As time progresses, Syaoran's character grows into a formidible being - he learns the sword from Kurogane, and he learns new styles of fighting from observing the skilled people around him.
Besides all that - he's very cute =P.
Sakura
The crown princess of the Clow Kingdom. She possesses a strange power that has caught the eyes of mysterious conspirators throughout the dimensions. Her strange connection with this power causes her memory to be formed into white feathers. These feathers were scattered throughout the dimensions, despite Syaoran's first attempts to protect her.
As her memories return bit by bit, she begins to wonder over bits and pieces of her life. She despairs, however, when she finds that something precious is missing.
Throughout her travels with Syaoran and the others, Sakura acts as a point of hope and redemption. Though not physically formidable, she possesses a powerful, beneveolent influence over the people around her.
Kurogane
Kurogane was originally from a world ruled by a princess named Tomoe. For his reckless abuse of his own physical power, Princess Tomoe sends him away to the Dimensional Witch bearing a "curse" that cuts a fraction of his power every time he kills someone.
As he travels through the worlds, he acts as a mentor figure for Syaoran, and also as the unwilling, unofficial caretaker of Mokona.
Fye
Fye is a mysterious magician who seems to hold a deeper intuition than he lets on. He joins the group of travelers in order to evade an unknown "someone" that is searching for him.
Mokona
The cute and cuddly creature that possesses the power to transport the travelers between dimensions (usually by sweallowing them whole and shouting "puu!").
