Translation! :) Things I've Heard Good afternoon everyone. It's a little cloudy where I am right now. It's kinda sad. This semester I'm taking Japanese III. I go every Tuesday and Thursday.
Last Thursday in class there were people who have been to Japan before. There was one person who came from Japan as an exchange student. I forgot her name, but she seemed kinda cute and a little quiet. There was another person who was an American, but I thought his Japanese was really good. He said he'd studied Japanese for twenty years. He taught English to the Japanese, but he didn't participate in the JET program. He also went in 1998, which was a little disappointing. At the time, cell phones weren't used, so he couldn't tell me what I should do about cell phones when I go to Japan. I'll see if I can ask my Japanese conversation partner.
I also heard about working class Japanese citizens. Japanese office workers have it really tough. But if I intend to become an English teacher over there, I should be okay, or so I was told. Japanese people aren't usually mean to teachers. And the money's not bad.
Will I really be okay? ^^;
