• Monday, July 17 2006 @ 9:15 PMI actually had to look up some background information on this character - Mana Kishirama. She appears in a separate series that branches from the main Neon Genesis Evangelion series called "Girlfriend of Steel" (that's the literal translation!).
  
  
  //-- Spoiler Alert
  In this series the Impact never happened, and the overall atmosphere is light-hearted. Mana is a transfer student who eventually gets into a relationship with Shinji. Later on, however, it turns out that she is actually a spy from one of NERV's rivals...(I'm not sure how all this fits in if NERV is still in the developing stages at this point...but whatever).
