Bomb raids were not uncommon events to 14-year-old Seita and his 4-year-old sister Setsuko, but even so, there was eventually one particular raid that changed their lives forever. In one blast, Seita and his sister lost their home and their parents. From that day on, their innocence was lost, and they were forced to face the reality of living on the road, accepting the indifference of people they once called Friends, and treasuring the bond they still shared.
