      Akai Yuki

Thursday, April 9, 2009 | Posted by Jay Yay for my first wall made in Japan :P. Akai Yuki (or "Red Snow"). It's based off the series Vampire Knight, made especially for Kaname-fans *w*.

It's nothing official, but I've decided to try something a bit new with walls I do from here on. Instead of doing whatever as I've been doing in the past, I'm going to make up some rule that I have to follow for each wall. In this case, I decided all the vectoring had to be done in Illustrator, and only light touchups could be done in Photoshop. It was a bit of a challenge, but it was also quite a learning experience.

This is truly admirable. Thanks for sharing!

(as a Kaname fan, deep inside I'm wishing for Yuki to take just another 3 steps forward, so I can have Kaname all by his awesome self... Heee! - Just kidding, the whole wallpaper is great! Been on my desktop for a while now...:D)

Shop till you drop or at least find some pretty clothing while you`re there then XD This is what I heard when you compare to other cities in Japan apparently?

Ooo sounds quite different when you break illustrator and photoshop that way. You have done some painting before right? or was that just tablet work?

I'm definitely going shopping while I'm in Japan xp. It's an experience I can't miss.

I've done painting before, with and without tablet. Though it's much much easier with tablet.

Clean as always. So which part of Japan are you around these days?

Is it that big of a dif using illustrator vs photoshop? I haven't used illustrator.

      Kyoto right now :).
It is technically - because illustrator is all lines, and photoshop is everything in between. I guess in a nutshell Illustrator is more formal, and Photoshop is more flexible with different styles (especially painting).
