I like that title.
Holy Shoes!Ever since my second-to-last move between states, I hadn't been working out as much as I should have. A few months ago I picked up tennis (wahah...so random ne?) and had my dad teach me most of the basics. Who do I play with? The wall (which really is quite a nice partner, if you think about it - doesn't complain, you can visit anytime and don't have to worry about commitments, and it always hits back!).
Now comes the shoes part....
I'm not a fashion freak. And that goes for shoes too - I never have more than two pairs of shoes per year. Usually it's just a pair of tennis shoes that look brand new in the beginning of the year, and look worn, torn, and very sad-looking after the 365 days are up.
This last pair I've been wearing for almost a year and a half. And it showed, because I started getting blisters on my toes after tennis-with-wall. Last weekend I discovered that there was a gaping hole on the left shoe, and figured it was probably time to get some new ones.
Dramas?I've been telling myself over and over again that I'd finally try watching some...and I finally succeeded this past week. And I have to say it's definitely different from your typical movie at the theaters.
I've only been able to find romancey ones so far, and they're not as scary as I thought they'd be xp. Ones I've been watching: Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e (For You In Full Bloom/Blossom), and Hana Yori Dango Season (Boys over Flowers) both seasons. If anyone has any other recommendations I'm all ears! I need something to enjoy for the rest of the summer.
Portfolio WebsiteAt last! After about a week-long binge (not much of my usual binges actually...I had to cram in work and the last bits of summer school into the mix), I finally finished my portfolio website. I haven't quite filled out all of my stuff for the portfolio yet...but for now I think it works out.
PhotographyOver the summer I took a Photography class - a media I hadn't really tried before. They used the professional cameras, where you have to figure stuff like aperture and shutter speed, and you use film and develop and print them in a dark room (very cool!). This was a completely different experience from using Photoshop - things like dodging and burning done by hand rather than using software. And there are also things you can do with a camera that you just can't do as easily on the computer.
Anyways, if anyone's interested in seeing some,
click!
It really is the end of the world for some...Governor signs law: "Hasta la vista, chatty teen drivers" from

Aw, I must say that the wall is a pretty good partner lol.. ya, the sports that I like I don't have a partner, therefore, I hardly play =(. Need to play to exercise!! I love dramas! They are really good..those are Korean dramas no? Korean ones are really good.. some of them are translated into English, so that is good..
I was meaning to make a portfolio as well but I never got around to it.. wow, its been years! I'll check it out ;) As for the photography, it is pretty interesting.. I've seen people do it, but I haven't quite done it before..its wicked lol.. but if you do it in a program like Photoshop, its like.. cool..blah whatever lol..
Not a big change, but I like it. It gives you more space up top, or maybe it only seems that way. My only question is...why isn't any aspect of your logo shiny? It seems flat, especially up against the 2.0 type bubble bar.
Good question...I should probably consider making it more 3D-ish....
Nice layout :) Although it isn't that great of a change, the simple changes do look great. It looks sort of like a software interface--reminds me of iTunes.
And :o Did you rip off of Adobe Indesign (the name?). JK. Lovely portfolio--very professional. I just wanna know: you're not actually going into designing or art, are you? You definitely seem qualified. Well-rounded on all sides in this field, including drawing and painting!
Hehe actually I had a hell of a time trying to figure out a proper domain name...one that I wouldn't be embarrassed to give out to business prospects. InDesign (adobe program) didn't really come up as a prospect until after I went through about a gazillion design ideas..and thought whatever, what about 'indezign'?
As for designing...that's the biggest question of my life. It's so risky and has no guarantees, I like it and can really lose myself when I get into it. Answer? I dono. I'm still poking around in the dark. =/
