I Prefer This

Wednesday, February 11, 2009
In celebration of Valentine's Day, I've decided to show the before-and-after results of the wall "I Prefer This" from the manga series Bloody Kiss. Lovely title eh? Not for blood-phobic people!

It's a very romancy, cheesy series. But it was cute enough that it was bearable, and the girl's pretty down to earth (away from the typical weak princess character).

The idea of paper roses reminded me of a friend of mine who folds origami Kawasaki roses. I'm not sure if he was exaggerating or not, but according to Mr. Phuc it takes about an hour per rose. I remember trying to fold some bases for him when we were in high school, but I have no idea if they were actually usable >3.

Who is behind TJN?

My name is Jay Lee, and I am currently an undergraduate student at a University of California studying Fine Arts and Digital Arts, though I'll be the first to tell you I've learned more from working than from the classroom. My preferred art mediums include: digital on adobe products, corel, web; fine on oil-on-canvas or charcoal; photography in black and white, with a focus on portraiture and music; and classical music on piano.

I work as a graphic and website designer with a primary interest in marketing and adverising. (Yes, the stuff you get spammed with - but I'll only claim credit for the prettier ones.)
