In the page for "TA" there are three entries that have "See also *da*, *dododo*, and *tatata*." in the explanation column, except that there's no entry for "tatata".
Fixed, thanks for catching that!

Thanks for this great resource. I've found it to be really helpful.
By the way, besides "pungent or stinky," "tsun" or "tsun-tsun" can also mean "prim, demure, standoffish, stuck-up, proud-looking, sulky, sullen, morose."
New definition has been added :) thanks for your support!

Excellent reference, but you should redirect the diacritics to the proper page. For example, /index/ba/ should redirect to /index/ha/, maybe add an anchor so it's /index/ha/#ba
That's a good idea - thanks :).

I've become so dependent on this SFX reference you've created (died when this was offline for that while). I don't know an ounce of Japanese but this helps LOADS when it comes to quality checking manga. Can't thank you enough!

WOW....I have found the holy grail. ;) Ha...at least that's how it feels. :) I translate manga & dounjinshi with a friend, and I had to go thru every volume of my Saiyuki manga for SFX before finding this (they are nice enough, in the English versions, to give you an SFX guide in the back of each book). What an awesome site! You guys so seriously ROCK!!!

Hi! I followed your link above to *zaku*, and...
Oh. Wait. FIRST and MORE IMPORTANT than even *zaku* is OH I THANK YOU SO MUCH for this database I exclaim as I raise my trembling arms to the heavens in fervent gratitude!
...so, anyway, I think there might be a typo. Unless my eyes deceive me (and they've always had it in for me, the little ingrates), the kana below reads Buzu while the romaji reads Busu:
(1) Usually a deep stab, with a knife. See also ブズ (Busu). Can also be a mental stab.
Kana has been fixed - thanks for catching that!

Great site guys! Any suggestions for how to translate the sfx for helicopters??
Some helicopter SFXs here.
Basically any kind of wind, air, or machinery type sounds.

Nice. Just what I have been looking for!
I did not find 'naughtier' ones like "kupaa" here but that's OK :)
