Do you have an image/scan for context? It may well be 「さめざめ」the adverb for "sorrowfully" or "with anguish."

I encountered ちょいっ as a sound effect.

ホコ ホコ, as a character is eating a sweet potato and yelling at another person. I don't thinks it's quite "munch munch" maybe "chomp chomp", maybe the sound of taking a couple big bites before yelling?
