I need the FX for farts or farting

not just pun or bu but like big ones!?

      help!

The most I've got is *buu*. Of course, you could always go the exaggerated version and try an explosion-type SFX.

      Anonymous @ Friday, September 23, 2011 -- 1:22 pm

Could you guys reduce the size of the bar on the left? It made the page more readable the way it was before.
Now everything's shoved to the right and I've got people's comments and twits distracting me and I just don't care. I'm trying to do research here.

      Nope.

ズボッ is not listed and means something like "jamming it in". I can supply a manga page where this is used if you'd like. (not hentai)

Thanks Vaendryl! If you could provide the image as well, that would be great!

      Dari @ Thursday, September 15, 2011 -- 4:31 am

Thank you for you're help but it must've been just an error for that day as the searches are running normally now, thank you for your help and support <3

      cmertb @ Wednesday, September 14, 2011 -- 9:35 pm

Could you please add ホケ if it's an sfx? Found here: http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/7274/10185pe.jpg (panel 5). It seems to indicate being spaced out or not responding. Although maybe he's just saying something like "okay...". Not sure on this one.

I think you've got it right. It fits with the rest of the context too (after I translated it).

      *hoke* added - thank you!

      Dari @ Wednesday, September 14, 2011 -- 4:13 am

I used the search box on the left, "Search TJN" I've used all forms of the kana you accept here (kata/hira/roma), I even tried words I know that are in the database just to test it. I'm surprised no one else is having this trouble, it's making my work today a lot slower which stinks but I'm being patient using the index but I dislike having to search through 11+ pages to find a phrase.
Ps. I still love your site and what you guys do <3 it makes it a lot easier for us translators to have something to cross check things, you're def doing a good thing!

      Hi Dari,

That is definitely odd. Could you do me a huge favor and send me the URL to the search results you get after your search?

ex: if you searched for "gata" the URL would be:
      http://thejadednetwork.com/sfx/search/?keyword=gata&submitSearch=Search&x=

And I'll try to get this squared away asap.

      Thanks Dari!

      - Jay

P.S. Glad you've found the dictionary useful so far :) I remember when I was first translating how disappointed I was to find there was no such dictionary available!

      Hi Dari!

You know what, I think I may have an idea of the problem:
Are you using the search engine in the blue box at the top left? That one's specifically for the SFX dictionary, and should get you the results you're looking for.
I've removed the regular site search engine that was below that - sorry for the confusion!

Please let me know if that works!

      - Jay

      Dari @ Wednesday, September 14, 2011 -- 2:35 am

I love your site, it's very helpful for quick reference when I translate books!
What happened to the old search box? The layout seems a bit different and the box on left doesn't work really when I put in the kana. That was my favorite thing about this site was the speed and convenience in which I could support what a SFX would mean.

Hi Dari! Yes, there's a new layout. The search box should work the same, supporting both Japanese and English - what kana did you type in?
